Our Kids and Drugs of Misuse:

Nicotine, Marijuana & Opioids

Alternative smoking products including e-cigarettes, Juuls and more, have gained widespread popularity among our children, leaving parents and educators in need of information to address this dangerous trend. Irresponsible marketing of these products is generating broad appeal and potentially creating a new generation of “smokers.”

The legalization of marijuana in Massachusetts poses new risks and challenges as well to our youth. Because of vaporizers, edibles and drinks, it is easier than ever to hide and use marijuana at or during school activities. Learn the different ways youth can use marijuana so you know what to look out for.

The opioid crisis continues to plague Massachusetts. Experts will present the latest research, anti-stigma efforts and critical messaging for children and young adults.

Keynote! Michael Botticelli, Executive Director, Grayken Center for Addiction Medicine, Boston Medical Center and former Obama Administration Drug Czar.
